Poker Run For #KylerStrong

A beautiful fall afternoon, smiling faces, and dozens of Ford Mustangs rumbling through the streets of Greater Cincinnati. If you’re a car person, there isn’t much that you can do to offer a more relaxing and enjoyable October afternoon. The second annual Tri-State Mustang Club Poker Run started at the Ford Transmission plant in Sharonville and ended for lunch with us, at Mt. Orab Ford! The club and supporters cruised through local Ford dealers and other car-related locations. At each stop the players had to complete a task to receive a card. At the end of the cruise, the best poker hand won a prize!

Beyond the fun, this cruise was special because it benefited a great cause. All of the money raised during this event was donated directly to the KylerStrong foundation. This foundation was started by Rebecca and Kirk Bradley after they lost their son Kyler to DIPG. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing the Bradley family for a couple years now. I was involved with events when Kyler was fighting his battle. He was such a hero and it’s amazing to see his strength continue on through his family and friends by their dedication to raising awareness and funding to fight DIPG.

After everyone enjoyed lunch cooked by our own David Risher, Rebecca stood up and shared Kyler’s story. She explained that the foundation started a month after Kyler passed away and they had already raised over $60,000 for Children’s Hospital DIPG research. Their goal is to raise another $40,000 by December! Between Tri-State Mustang Club, attendees, and Mt. Orab Ford employee’s, we raised $1,889 on this particular day! CLICK HERE to get involved!
