Started back in 2013, the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Drive For Design Contest presents high school students around the country with the opportunity to have their automotive design work recognized nationally. Each winner also gets a free trip to Detroit where they will get a behind-the-scenes tour of FCA’s Design Studios and a one-on-one lesson with a professional designer.
The students were only given a short brief to serve as direction for their design:
Ultimate status vehicle. Design a new vehicle to be the ultimate expression of any FCA brand.
What will bring a new level of excitement to the showroom?
And here are the three winning designs from this year’s entrants:
First place β Maximillian Cooper, Design and Architecture Senior High, Miami, Florida
Second place β Mason Ross, Kennedy Catholic High School, Burien, Washington
Third place β Vincent Piaskowski, Ernest W. Seaholm High School, Birmingham, Michigan
