We here at Cinci Auto News are BIG fans of the Ford Ranger. The Ranger is a great option for anyone who wants respectable towing and payload capacity in a compact package. Roush, as they do, decided why stop there? That’s where the 2020 Roush Ranger enters the chat.
This thing looks awesome! Coming in at just under $13K in addition to the price of the vehicle, you are getting a lot of bang for your buck. So, what exactly do you get? For starters, you get the updated Roush grille with built-in LED light bars. In our opinion, the grille, along with the Magnetic Gray painted fender flares that are also added on as part of the package, really give the Ranger that ‘Raptor’ look that so many are fond of. You also get red painted tow hooks on the front bumper, Roush hood stripe graphics, and an added Roush windshield banner to round out the upgrades on the front of the truck.
Moving to the side, you finally get a look at the 18-inch satin black Roush wheels wrapped in General Tire 32-inch Grabber ATX tires. In addition to the upgraded beefier wheel setup, you get upgraded suspension as well. The OEM suspension gets replaced with a Roush/Fox 2.0 Performance Suspension system. It not only improves the off-road capability of the Ranger but it’s tuned to level the height of the truck too. So you get both the performance advantages and aesthetic improvements to the stance of the truck like increased road presence. The sides of the Roush Ranger also get some Roush branding in the form of a few different vinyl graphics options and new badges.
The rear gets a bit of a ‘sound upgrade’ with the addition of a Roush Performance cat-back exhaust. With the same side-exit design you’ll recognize from their extremely popular F-150 exhausts, it features dual tips in a bright stainless-steel finish that sit tucked just behind the rear passenger wheel. There’s no noted performance gains but the look and sound should deliver if it’s anything like their other products.
The interior also gets the Roush treatment with leather seats embroidered with diamond stitching and the Roush name on the backrest. You also get different gauges, serialized Roush badging, and Roush floor liners. Another nice touch that separates the Roush Ranger from the pack is the Roush branded key fob.
All of the things mentioned above come standard with upgraded Roush package but if that’s not enough, there’s a few optional upgrades like a chase rack with more built-in LED lighting and an aluminum retractable bed cover.
You can order your Roush Ranger from any authorized dealer now. With the new Ranger still in its infancy as far as time since it released, we hope to see even more upgrades from companies like Roush that bring the Ranger up to that next level.
